ISA allowance calculator
Everyone in the UK aged 18 or over can put up to £20,000 into ISAs each tax year (6 April to 5 April), across all their ISAs. Add what you've paid in so far to see what's left and how much a month would use the rest.
Good to know
- The allowance doesn't carry over: anything unused on 5 April is gone.
- Withdrawing doesn't give you allowance back, unless your ISA is "flexible" and you put it back in the same tax year.
- A Lifetime ISA has its own £4,000 limit, which counts towards the £20,000.
- The government has announced that from 6 April 2027 people under 65 will be able to put at most £12,000 of the £20,000 into cash ISAs. Check GOV.UK for the latest rules.
